Pianist Noémi Szigeti Lee’s extensive awards include prizes in the Romanian National Competition “Meserii” and the Chautauqua Concerto Competition, winner of the University of Alabama Concerto competition, and finalist in the Brevard Concerto Competition.

She currently teaches piano at Lynchburg College and is the pianist at Peakland United Methodist Church. Mrs. Lee is an active performer in Lynchburg, both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. A Hungarian who was born and raised in Romania, she began her musical studies at the age of six and received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Gh. Dima Music Academy of Cluj, Romania. Mrs. Lee received her Master of Music degree in piano performance at the University of Alabama.

Mrs. Lee has also performed with the James Chamber Players, bringing to the audience Johann Sebastian Bach's Piano Concerto in D Minor. She has performed recitals across the United States and Europe, including as a soloist with orchestras in Cluj, Romania, and at the University of Alabama.

Mrs. Lee was a featured performer with the Ashland (Ohio) Symphony Orchestra in a production of Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of Animals, and with the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra playing Robert Schumann's Piano Concerto.

She has performed with the University of Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra, presenting George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, and Edvard Grieg’s Piano Concerto.
